Steve is a farm consultant and adviser with many connections to the rural sector and his experience also includes periods of farm employment, rural banking and management roles within the rural service industry. He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and the New Zealand Institute of Primary Industry Management.
Steve graduated from Lincoln University with a Diploma in Agriculture and Farm Management and a Bachelor of Commerce and Management. Steve returned to Lincoln in 2007 to complete the Kellogg Rural Leaders programme. More recently he obtained a certificate in Advanced Sustainable Nutrient Management from Massey University.
Steve began his professional career in the stock & station industry, as finance manager for Wrightson, predominantly with dairy and sheep and beef farmers on the West Coast of the South Island. In 1996 he moved to Hawkes Bay with Westpac Agribusiness assisting a range of clients, from growers through to pastoral farmers.
Steve now draws on his extensive experience to provide well rounded independant advice to agribusiness clients in areas such as farm strategy, farm production, farm finance, farm succession and resource management. He also provides advice and assists clients in the completion of farm environmental management plans.
